Valentine’s Day Poetry Competition 2012
The Kyle Young Scot Info team is organising a Valentine’s Day poetry competition and would like you to help raise awareness within the school.
All pupils can take part and there are prizes are up for grabs - these include cinema tickets, books and free school lunches! Winning poems will appear on the Young Scot website.
The Info Team are also asking if anyone could donate any small prizes that would be very much appreciated. The Young Scot Info Team consists of S2 girls Claire McC, Kiera G and Megan S and is co-ordinated by Ann Shaw (Young Scot Community Learning).
Closing date is February the 9th 2012 and entries can be handed into the Library.

Scottish Children's Book Awards 2011



The Scottish Children's Book Awards (formerly the Royal Mail Awards) are Scotland's largest children's book awards, judged entirely by young people between September 2011 and January 2012 in three age categories: Bookbug Readers - 0-7 years, Younger Readers - 8-11 year and Older Readers - 12-16 years.
Shadowing the Book Awards can fulfil Literacy outcomes in Enjoyment and Choice (LIT 3-11a) as well as in Understanding, Analysing and Evaluating (LIT 3-16).
